STANDARD EXTENSION END-USER LICENCE AGREEMENT
Default terms for Extensions distributed through the ENCY Extension Store Version 1.0 — Effective 1 November 2026
When this applies. These terms govern your use of an Extension where the developer of that Extension has not supplied its own end-user licence terms. Where the developer has supplied its own terms, those apply instead and these do not.
1. Who you are contracting with
This licence is between you (the end user) and the developer of the Extension, as identified on its Store listing (the "Developer").
ENCY SOFTWARE LTD is not a party to this licence. ENCY operates the Extension Store and may act as seller of record for the transaction, but the Extension is the Developer's product and the Developer is responsible for it.
2. Licence
2.1 The Developer grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the Extension on the systems for which you have acquired it, for your internal business purposes.
2.2 The licence is granted for the term for which you have paid, or perpetually where the Extension was acquired on a perpetual basis, in each case subject to section 3.
2.3 You may make one copy for backup purposes.
3. Requirement for an ENCY licence
3.1 Some Extensions operate in areas that ENCY licenses separately. Where the Store listing states that an ENCY licence is required, the Extension will verify that you hold that licence and will not operate without it.
3.2 This Extension is licensed in addition to, and not instead of, your ENCY licence. Acquiring it does not grant you any right to ENCY software.
3.3 If the required ENCY licence lapses, expires or is not renewed, the affected functionality becomes unavailable. This is not a defect and does not entitle you to a refund of amounts already paid.
4. Restrictions
You must not:
(a) copy, distribute, sublicense, rent, lease or lend the Extension;
(b) reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, except to the extent that such acts cannot lawfully be prohibited;
(c) remove or alter any proprietary notice;
(d) circumvent, disable or interfere with any licensing, activation or entitlement-verification mechanism in the Extension or in the ENCY platform;
(e) use the Extension in breach of applicable law, including export-control and sanctions law.
5. Ownership
The Extension is licensed, not sold. The Developer, or its licensors, retains all intellectual property rights in it.
6. Support
Support is provided by the Developer, on the terms stated in the Store listing. ENCY does not provide support for third-party Extensions and is not responsible for the Developer's failure to do so.
Support requests should be directed to the contact shown on the listing.
7. Updates
The Developer may make updates available. Updates are governed by this licence unless supplied with different terms. The Developer is not obliged to provide updates, and may cease supporting the Extension on notice.
8. Machine safety
Read this if the Extension generates machine-control output.
You remain responsible for verifying all machine-control output before running it on a machine tool or robot. Neither the Developer nor ENCY can verify your specific machine, controller, fixturing, tooling or workpiece.
Always simulate, verify and, where appropriate, dry-run before cutting. Do not rely on any software as a substitute for the judgement of a qualified operator.
9. No warranty
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Extension is provided "as is" and the Developer excludes all warranties, conditions and representations, express or implied, including as to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Where you deal as a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.
10. Liability
10.1 Nothing in this licence limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
10.2 Subject to 10.1, the Developer is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of production, loss of data, or damage to workpieces, tooling or machinery.
10.3 Subject to 10.1, the Developer's total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Extension in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10.4 ENCY has no liability to you in respect of the Extension. Your remedies in respect of the Extension lie against the Developer.
11. Termination
11.1 This licence terminates automatically if you breach it.
11.2 Removal of the Extension from the Store does not of itself terminate this licence. Where an Extension is removed, you may continue to use the version you have installed, subject to this licence, but updates and support may cease.
11.3 On termination you must stop using the Extension and remove all copies.
12. Refunds
Refunds are administered by ENCY in accordance with the Commercial Terms published at encycam.com/legal/extension-store/commercial-terms/. Your statutory rights, where applicable, are not affected.
13. Data
Where the Extension processes personal data, the Developer's privacy disclosure on the Store listing applies. The Developer, not ENCY, determines what data the Extension collects.
14. General
14.1 This licence is governed by the law of the Developer's place of establishment, unless the Developer's listing states otherwise or applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
14.2 If any provision is held unenforceable, the remainder continues in force.
14.3 This licence is published in English. Translations are for convenience only.
This document is provided by ENCY SOFTWARE LTD as default terms for developers who do not supply their own. ENCY is not a party to the licence it creates.
