Hacettepe University adds AVENCO robotic 3D concrete printing to its LFAM lab




A second AVENCO cell for Hacettepe
Following last week’s announcement that Hacettepe University’s Material Science Department in Ankara procured an AVENCO 3D Thermoplastic system, the university has also procured an AVENCO robotic 3D concrete printing system — expanding its additive-manufacturing research across polymers and concrete on the same shop floor.
The cell.
Robot: KUKA industrial arm mounted on a tracked mobile base with stabilizer outriggers, so the system can drive out and print on-site. End effector: AVENCO concrete extrusion head fed by a dedicated pump/delivery unit that sits with the mobile base. Programming: ENCY, the same CAM stack that drives AVENCO’s thermoplastic LFAM cells.
What the delivery shots show

What this means for Hacettepe
The two cells together — thermoplastic LFAM plus robotic 3DCP — give students and researchers hands-on experience with robotic additive manufacturing across polymers and concrete alike, strengthening Hacettepe’s position in additive-manufacturing research.
