Chamfer Milling and Complex Pocketing in Aluminum Brackets

Author Highlight
Thanks to StoneyCNC for sharing a close look at advanced aluminum bracket machining using ENCY CAD/CAM software.

CNC Milling Operations
The video displays multiple 2.5x and 3x milling strategies on aluminum, including face milling, pocketing, circular aperture contouring, and bolt-hole pattern machining. Each workpiece is secured in a precision vise while the vertical CNC spindle, equipped with a multi-flute end mill, ensures controlled and accurate material removal—particularly relevant for electronics and telecom application components.

Toolpath Quality and Machining Results
As seen in the footage, ENCY CAD/CAM software enables crisp internal corners, sharp pocket profiles, and accurate chamfers. The setup uses an 8mm end mill at 24,000 RPM with a 1200mm/min feed, allowing for high-quality surface finishes and defined geometries essential for electronic device housings and mounting hardware.
