Stone pillar carved on a 4-axis rotary CNC — CUBECADTECH workflow in ENCY CAM

From raw block to carved pillar. CUBECADTECH shared a run on a double-head 4-axis rotary CNC turning a 150×150×900 mm stone block into a fluted, ornamented pillar. The full toolpath — roughing and finishing — was built and simulated in ENCY CAD/CAM software before the first cut.

Two heads, one program. A disc head roughs the profile with parallel rotary passes, then the milling head carves the capital details on the same rotary setup. Both tools run from a single ENCY program, and collision checks are cleared in simulation before the file leaves the office.

Why simulate first. Stone doesn't forgive mistakes, and rework on a 900 mm block is expensive. Rotary-axis toolpaths in ENCY verify tool reach and clearance on the full cell — disc, spindle, chuck — so what runs on the machine matches what was drawn.
