7-axis intelligent carving system for stone
Thanks to Angela Chen for sharing the Hephaestus HLRB-7A3D, a 7-axis intelligent carving system deeply developed on the base of a KUKA robot and designed for high-end stone carving. According to the original post, it is equipped with a 15 kW high-power spindle (18,500 rpm), has a 210 kg payload and a repeat positioning accuracy of ±0.06 mm.

From roughing to polishing
The system supports full automation from roughing to fine carving and polishing. It works with multiple tools and a tool magazine.

Offline programming with ENCY Robot
The system is integrated with the ENCY Robot offline programming software, which the post credits with precise, efficient and intelligent production for complex 3D carving.
