JHC-KOVO Second-Op Face Milling in LANG Makro-Grip

Second-op face milling on an aluminum blank
Czech job shop jhc-kovo s.r.o. continues a two-part story from an earlier reel: after the first setup, the aluminum workpiece is flipped and clamped for a second operation, with an indexable face mill sweeping the freshly exposed top surface under heavy flood coolant.

LANG Makro-Grip workholding on a rotary setup
The blank is held in a LANG Makro-Grip® 5-axis vise stacked on a riser and mounted on the machine's rotary/trunnion table. Pre-stamped serrations on the stock allow the vise to grip only a few millimetres of material, leaving the previously machined side accessible without re-fixturing between operations.

Programmed with ENCY CAD/CAM
The toolpaths for the roughing and finishing passes are generated in ENCY CAD/CAM software, which drives the same shop's multi-operation aluminum programs featured in their earlier five-axis bracket and measuring-fixture cases.
