Production of Custom Gripper Fingers for Semi-Automatic Valve Assembly

Project Overview Thanks to Lavorazioni Meccaniche CS for sharing the production of 20 custom gripper fingers, specially designed for the assembly of valves on a semi-automatic machine. These components were tailored to the mechanical requirements of the target machine, ensuring a precise fit for each application. Manufacturing Process The workflow began with CAD/CAM design in ENCY CAD/CAM software, as visible in the detailed CAD renderings. From initial client-supplied blanks, the parts were manufactured using three-axis CNC milling and lathe operations. Video screenshots show a range of machining techniques, including turning, CNC milling, live tooling, and threading, all typical in the machine tool and industrial equipment sectors. Result and Application Each gripper finger achieves consistent quality and repeatability, as evidenced by both the finished workpieces and machining media. The use of ENCY contributed to streamlined production for job shop applications focused on specialized mechanical components.
