From a broken part to a fresh CNC-machined replacement

Reverse engineering, from the shop floor. A broken part comes into the shop with no drawings. Lavorazioni Meccaniche CS measure the original directly, capture every relevant dimension, and rebuild a clean 3D model from those quotes — the digital twin of the part they need to replace.

ENCY CAD/CAM software as the programming stack. The reconstructed model goes into ENCY, where the shop plans the milling strategy: work planes, tools, roughing and finishing operations for a 3-axis CNC machining centre. The dimensioning and geometry checks visible in the clip (angles, radii, cavity depths) are what drive the toolpaths.

From model to chip on a 3-axis CNC. The programmed job runs on the shop’s 3-axis machining centre and outputs a finished aluminium bracket ready for deburring and assembly — a working replacement produced end-to-end in-house, without waiting for an OEM spare.
