Robotic sculpting of a Ganesha figure by IRTI Robotics
From CAD model to a physical Ganpati figure. IRTI Robotics carved a Ganesha sculpture from an EPS foam block using a 6-axis industrial robot with a milling spindle and a long ball-nose end mill. Multi-axis contouring toolpaths were prepared and simulated in ENCY Robot, the offline programming solution from ENCY CAD/CAM software.
Digital simulation before the first cut. The full robotic cell — arm, spindle, worktable and stock — was recreated in ENCY Robot to preview motion, verify reach and check tool orientation on the sculpture's curved surfaces. The verified program was posted to the controller and run on the physical cell.
Robotic automation for creative work. The project shows how offline robot programming extends beyond conventional industrial parts into sculpting — jobs traditionally reliant on manual craftsmanship. IRTI Robotics uses ENCY Robot to plan multi-axis motion for parts whose geometry makes hand-programming impractical.
