STÄUBLI TX200 robotic milling of a wooden bust at CNC Solutions Belgium

From manual craft to automated milling. CNC Solutions in Belgium built a robotic cell that turns work traditionally done by hand into a repeatable milling process. Programming is done in ENCY CAD/CAM software with ENCY Belgium.

Six-axis robot on a rotary positioner. A STÄUBLI TX200 six-axis arm drives a spindle end-effector against a wood block clamped to a rotary indexing table, adding a seventh axis of motion. The robot reaches every side of a sculptural bust without re-fixturing.

Automatic tool changes for roughing and detail. A vertical tool magazine holds the router bits — roughing, profiling and finishing — so the software swaps tools between operations. Motion is coordinated by Beckhoff automation control.

Craft output, industrial repeatability. The result is a smoothly milled wooden sculpture with consistent quality every run, from a cell that can be re-programmed for the next form.
