Your CAM Projects in a New Light: Studio Themes in ENCY
First shown at IMTS 2026, Studio and Studio White are ENCY’s new built-in dark and light themes. With studio lighting, soft shadows, and reflections, they bring a more realistic look to your machining projects and help you present them clearly to colleagues and customers.
The images show the IMTS demo environment, featuring graphics from ENCY’s exhibition booth. These themes change both the interface colors and the appearance of the 3D workspace. Visual effects are active during programming and machining simulation, adding depth to the scene and definition to machines, parts, and fixtures.

Lighting and shading emphasize surface contours and help convey the spatial relationships between the workpiece, tooling, and surrounding equipment.
Lights automatically adapt to the size of the machine. The floor and light sources remain fixed as the axes move, keeping the environment consistent throughout simulation.
Show the Process. Explain the Plan.
Walk a customer through a robotic machining project, discuss a workholding setup with a colleague, or demonstrate an operation during training. Studio gives your audience a more lifelike view of the equipment and process directly within ENCY.
The same workspace is ready for screenshots and screen recordings. Lighting and visual effects are set up automatically, reducing the preparation needed to create presentation materials from your CAM project.
Choose Your Look
Select Studio for a dark interface or Studio White for a light one. Daylight mode adjusts the lighting with the time of day, with manual controls for time and brightness.
On less powerful graphics hardware, ENCY automatically uses lighter effects to help maintain smooth navigation. The new themes are optional, so you can keep your current appearance settings until you choose to switch.
Studio themes are available to all ENCY users starting with release 3.1.3. Open your project in Studio or Studio White and see the difference as you work.
