The event brought together CNC manufacturers, machining professionals, and engineers to see how programming strategy, simulation, and real cutting performance can work together to improve productivity in high-mix, high-precision manufacturing.
ENCY and MAZAK Showcase the Real Production Value of 5-Axis Machining

On April 16, 2026, at the Taiwan MAZAK Technology Center, TMIC, ENCY’s official partner in Taiwan, demonstrated a practical 5-axis machining workflow powered by ENCY CAD/CAM system during a technical seminar hosted by MAZAK.
The session focused on one core idea: the benefits of 5-axis machining depend not only on the machine tool itself, but on the software workflow behind it. During the live demonstration from CAM programming to actual cutting on a MAZAK 5-axis machining center, TMIC showed how ENCY CAD/CAM system helps reduce programming time, improve roughing efficiency, enhance surface quality in finishing, and identify interference risks in advance through full-machine simulation.
Another major theme was workflow integration. TMIC highlighted the connection between CAD and CAM, showing how design changes can be synchronized into the manufacturing process without rebuilding geometry or restarting programming from scratch. This helps reduce engineering effort, cut rework, and improve overall throughput.
The event also underscored a broader industry reality in Taiwan. Around 70% of current 5-axis applications still rely on 3+2 indexed machining, while the remaining share uses full simultaneous 5-axis for more complex surfaces and tighter-tolerance parts. That makes software capability and process know-how increasingly important for manufacturers looking to unlock more value from their machine investment.
We thank MAZAK Taiwan, TMIC, and all attendees for the strong engagement and productive discussions around the future of advanced machining.
