Project Overview Shared by Joakim Målare, this project highlights the production of a life-sized sculpture called “Beholder” for artist Charlotte Gyllenhammar. The process centered on artistic modelmaking, with foam blocks meticulously shaped into detailed figurative forms representative of the arts sector.
Advanced Foam Milling As seen in the photos and videos, a six-axis robotic arm was employed to mill high-density polymer foam blocks. These automated setups enabled the creation of complex features such as pleated skirts and finely contoured bodices, supporting multiple setups and subtractive machining to replicate the original design with a high degree of fidelity.
Application of ENCY Software The use of ENCY software facilitated efficient programming and robotic milling for sculptural forms in artistic production. The workflow combined robotic automation and manual finishing, delivering a sculptural model that meets demanding artistic standards.
