Rock-Cat Sculpture: Robotic Milling and Additive Manufacturing in Action

The booth featured the life-size Rock-Cat sculpture—crafted with a white polymer body and blue electric guitar—drawing attention from visitors across the film production, entertainment, and arts sectors.

Engineering Behind the Rock-Cat
As seen in the video and images, the Rock-Cat was created using additive manufacturing (selective laser sintering) paired with robotic CNC milling for surface finishing and detail work. ENCY CAD/CAM software, ENCY Robot, and MachineMaker played key roles in programming toolpaths and coordinating robot movements throughout the complex shaping and assembly process.

Advanced Applications for the Creative Industries
This project demonstrates practical use of ENCY products for large-format sculpture production, blending advanced robot milling with polymer 3D printing. It exemplifies reliable solutions for intricate builds in the arts and entertainment industries.
