"What I value most is the ease of use and the option to open several tabs. That is handy since we run multiple robots," he says of ENCY CAD/CAM software.

Twenty minutes per part. Machining prep is split into discrete jobs. Building toolpaths for a single part takes about 20 minutes; then the robot motion goes into simulation before anything runs on the floor.

Simulation catches trouble first. The virtual run shows how each axis turns, flags a possible collision, and lets Amir fix the program before touching the part. "We used a simulator before, but working here is definitely more convenient."
