Thermoplastic bead quality on a large-format robot printer

Accurate deposition, run after run
AVENCO Robotics & Automation shares a close-up of their large-format thermoplastic 3D printing cell. A pellet-fed extruder on a KUKA robot arm lays down a homogeneous, uninterrupted bead — the part that comes off the machine matches the design instead of a version reshaped to fit the printer's limits.

Toolpaths programmed offline
Robot trajectories are prepared in ENCY CAD/CAM software, with ENCY Robot generating kinematics and post-processed motion for the KUKA cell. Working offline lets AVENCO validate reach, orientation, and layer sequence before printing, keeping bead geometry consistent across long runs.

Repeatable parts built to stay in service
The result: identical layers, consistent inter-layer bonding, and finished parts that are dimensionally what the model called for — targeting industrial and architectural components that have to survive real service conditions.
