Robotic 3D concrete printing takes shape on-site

Robotic construction, live on site.
AVENCO shared a first look at a joint project with KUKA and Rupp Gebäudedruck — a mobile robotic 3D concrete printer building walls layer by layer on the paved site. The video shows an orange articulated arm on a linear-rail gantry extruding cementitious beads to form the tan-coloured shell of a structure, with door and window openings emerging from the print path.

Additive workflow with ENCY Robot.
AVENCO uses ENCY CAD/CAM software with the ENCY Robot suite for offline programming of the KUKA arm: trajectory calculation, kinematics and full simulation of the printing cell. MachineMaker was used to build the digital twin of the robotic printer.
